twenty-two...

Yesterday was the day of my birth and as most folks in their twenties, I dreaded it. It ended up not being so bad. My sister planned a surprise birthday dinner and invited some of my family and close friends…it was probably the best birthday I’ve ever had. Not huge and flashy but then again, that was never my deal.

I’m going to Warped Tour tomorrow with some stunner. Here’s to hopefully catching Closure In Moscow and Andrew W.K. AND most importantly NOT getting surrounded by a bunch of tween scene queens.

they only like you when you're seventeen, when you're twenty-one, you're no fun.

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated and the reason being…I was blocked. haha I wish I could remember everything that happened but I’ll just fill-in on the things that are fresh on my mind. For fear of sounding like Debbie Downer, I’ll start with some good news.

Firstly, I was informed that I’m going to be an aunt again. Pretty dope. I don’t plan on having children for fear of getting stuck with little smart-assed little bastards like myself so I get mad excited when my sisters are expecting. The new addition will be here around march of next year…I’m excited. I’d like for her to have another boy but she already has three boys and she wants a girl so I’ll be crossing my fingers for her to get her wish.

Secondly, I’m going to be a maid-of-honor. I’ve never been a bridesmaid let alone a maid-of-honor so I’m kinda stoked on that shit. My sister’s getting married next june and I’m excited to throw her a bachlorette party. It’s gonna be a sleazy send-off into the married world. I might be a little more excited than she is. haha In all honesty, I’m happy for her and I’ll be expecting to get all snazzy for her big day. Pix or didn’t happen? Yeah, I’ll have plenty of those.

Thirdly, I’ll be turning twenty-two in nine days. BUMMER! I’m still coping with the fact that I can legally drink and now this? Life’s really skull-fucking me. I have so much on my bucket-list that needs to be crossed off and it seems like time doesn’t really give a fuck about it. Not diggin’ it.

Lastly, Lucy had to go back to the hospital on Saturday. She suddenly lost her speech and instead of just waiting for it to come back with our arms crossed, we took her to the ER so they could check that shit out. She ended up getting it back about three hours later but she stayed in the hospital for four days so they could run tests. She’s back home now. I actually just went to Children’s memorial to  pick her up a few hours ago. She looks good as new. I’m glad to have the sarcastic little punk back home.

So I was gonna end on a downer but I gave you a twist. You see what I did there? Clever as shit I must say. Also, I just got a new book that I’m about to tear into.
