April 2012
I’m trying to spend less to have something to fall back on in case of unexpected expenses or an emergency and so far it hasn’t been going as well as I’d hoped. I can still do a better job at handling my money and having some left over for fun stuff in the near future. Don’t even worry about it though because I’m starting a special “Adventures & Random Happenings” jar to save up funds for these events. Basically, I’m going to put money aside for all the things I want to do but haven’t had the chance or the money (on hand) to do. The first few weeks will be slow since I’ll be getting the project started and I’ll be putting more money aside than spending but it’s totally cool. Don’t let the “saving up” part throw you off though. These things will range from a simple under $10 venture to a more costly random road trip but there is catch. The catch is, if there isn’t enough money in the jar to make it happen, then I have to hold off. This will offer me an incentive to keep setting money aside and to use my income for more important things when necessary. I think it’ll be rad. I’m starting today. I’ve set aside $5.
…Hey, we all gotta start somewhere.

Ps. I’m stoked!
I think I need to take a step back before I put myself in an undesirable position.
Ugh, my phone is being an asshole.
