Kids these days are missing a certain spark, you know, the one that has been clouded by technology? It’s rare to find a kid (or an adult, for that matter) that can entertain themselves with their imagination. A kid that can go from choreographing a dance to reading a book. A kid that can be versatile enough to go from playing forward/center for her basketball team to playing the (alto?) sax in her school band to baking (and altering her recipes to vegan so I can have some) to making the honor roll and being able to have a conversation about things other than pop culture while still being humorous, insightful and unafraid to ask questions. I could go on for days listing her attributes but I think I’ve drained my run-on sentence allotment for this post. Simply put, she’s extraordinary. Being well-mannered isn’t something you should be ashamed of and, hell, these days many people could benefit from giving it a shot. Happy Birthday, Bella! Make this a great year.
